Is the in-home consultation really free?
Yes. We come out, bring samples, measure your windows, and leave you with a written quote — at no cost and with no obligation. If it's not for you, that's a perfectly fine outcome.
What do shutters and blinds actually cost?
It depends on window size and material — a small vinyl shade and a whole-house hardwood shutter package are worlds apart. That's exactly why we measure in person instead of guessing. You'll get a real number, not an "up to" number.
How long does the process take?
Custom coverings are built to your openings, so there's a production window after you order. We'll give you a realistic timeline at the consultation and keep you posted — no surprises.
Why not just buy blinds from a big-box store?
For a rental or a spare room, sometimes you should. But stock sizes rarely match a real window, and the gaps show. Custom means it's built to your opening — it fits, it operates smoothly, and it looks like part of the house.
Do you handle arches, bays, and sliders?
Yes. Arches, angles, bay windows, and large sliding doors are all doable. Those are the ones that most need a real measure — and the ones that look worst when they're done wrong.
What's the difference between shutters, shades, and blinds?
Shutters are solid louvered panels — architectural, permanent, longest-lasting. Shades are fabric that rolls or folds. Blinds have adjustable slats. We'll walk you through what fits each room and each budget.
Can they be motorized?
Yes — remote, wall switch, or your phone, and they integrate with Lutron, Somfy, and most smart-home systems. Especially worth it on tall or hard-to-reach windows.
Will they help with heat and my energy bill?
They help. Cellular shades and solid shutters both add insulation right at the window, where a lot of heat moves in and out. In a Santa Clarita summer, you'll feel the difference.
Who does the installation?
We do. The same people who measure do the install. The fit is the entire product, so we don't hand that step to a stranger.
